Autokèn
Autokèn is an audio reconstruction of mistake made by the police as they were waiting for the emergency services with an injured person. Played and performed live, the soundtrack takes you into the chaos of an emergency situation. There is a mix of fragmented live and recorded conversations with all the voices done by the same voice actor, the Auto-Tune shows the different ways the same situation was perceived. Whilst waiting for emergency services, using the phone to surf the web helps relieve the stresses. The danger to life enhances the imagination and suggested articles makes video after video scroll by.
Emergency services take their time and the small and not so small aspects of the world interfere.
• Anne Corté makes performances the way others make surprises. Central to her work is the fascination with the versatility of reality and a humour somewhere between discomfort and gentleness.

This is a documented fiction story. Autokèn is the audio reconstruction of the impact of a police error. The device mixes fragmented streams and seeks sonic hyperrealism. Fear is the driving force in the succession of events, it acts as a catalyst of the imaginary. As organizers of this programme, we’d like to warn you about potentially triggering content during this performance with regard to: traumatic stress, life-threatening emergency, police abuse.
