The premiere of the new creation by Barbara Matijevic and Giuseppe Chico will be postponed to the 2014-2015 season for artistic reasons.

The eye of the law, the invisible hand of the market, the wheel of time ... In their new performance, Barbara Matijević and Giuseppe Chico take it all quite literally. They transform these and other metaphors into narrative actions. They even stage ideas that are the most difficult to exchange.

For them, metaphors are much more than just the stylistic devices of poetry. They are also embedded in our consciousness: we use them to categorise experiences and to structure our perceptions. What Matijević & Chico try to ascertain in this performance is how we use metaphors to relate to reality.

• This is already the fifth successive season that the duo of Barbara Matijević & Giuseppe Chico will be appearing in the Kaaitheater programme (I am 1984, Forecasting, Tracks, Speech!) during which time they have also performed at the Avignon Festival. In their clever and playful performance they always run away with the architecture of our thinking.
