Claire Croizé and Etienne Guilloteau join two Polish dancers to explore the music of the Polish Radio Experimental Studio. Futurism and utopia, old school Soviet science fiction, activism and progressive thinking inspired them to create an exciting choreography that plays with the presence and absence of the body in electronic music.

During her 1980 stay in New York, in which she first rehearsed her celebrated Violin Phase to the music of Steve Reich, the only other recording playing in Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker’s studio was the Brandenburg Concertos by Bach. After more than 35 years, she is pursuing her work with this music, joined by sixteen dancers from various Rosas generations and accompanied live by the Baroque ensemble B’Rock.

What would happen if we were to abandon verticality after centuries of walking upright? This question is the starting point of Laurent Chétouane’s new creation. Two male and one female dancer search for new equilibriums in a disjointed setting. A violinist accompanies them live onstage with Bach’s Partita for Violin no. 1 in B-minor.
