In 1981, Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel performed their legendary charity concert in Central Park, New York: a musical feast of friendship and solidarity. the two singers now avoid one another as much as possible. More even: they had already split at the time of that concert. Simon, Garfunkel, My Sister and Me is the ultimate re-enactment of the concert, a show about rivalry in all its forms.

What might the musical heritage of polyphony mean today? Myriam Van Imschoot was inspired by insects, climate marches and the recent protests against budget cuts in the arts and civil society. A group of Brussels-based singers takes to the stage with the vocal ensemble HYOID. United, they move through mass singing, often on the edge of audibility.

Based in collective memories and fictitious traumas, the duo create a world of light and movement that is inhabited by three performers and two musicians. The show premiered at the Kaaistudios in 2018 and is moving to the main stage of Kaaitheater for this reprise.
