Het Groene Boek

talk

On 29 May 2011 you can attend the launch of the first ‘Green Book’ at the Zuiderpershuis in Antwerp. How can we change from a consumer society with its increasing inequality to a society that respects ecological boundaries and achieves social justice? This is the question that The Green Book tries to answer, by means of inspiring books, documentaries, debates and suchlike.

The guests include the Dutch sociologist Dick Pels, who is working on a new book on populism. The British sociologist John Urry presents a brand new book on climate change and society. Michael Wadleigh, best known for his documentary on the legendary 1969 Woodstock Festival, is presenting a multimedia talk on the future of the human species.
