An evening for P.A.R.T.S.

dance
24—25.10.2006

A sparkling dance benefit for P.A.R.T.S. students

Educating new generations of dancers and choreographers. This was the task Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker, Rosas and La Monnaie took upon themselves when they founded the P.A.R.T.S. dance school in 1995. The name is an abbreviation for Performing Arts Research and Training Studios and expresses the school’s special approach: providing students with technical training while at the same time allowing them plenty of room for their creative development; an in-depth study of various contemporary dance idioms while at the same time emphasising the importance of theory, improvisation or openings to other performing arts.

The P.A.R.T.S. Foundation was created to help students finance their studies. Money for the fund is collected each year by arranging a benefit evening. Students, teachers and special guests combine their talents in a dazzling kaleidoscope that reflects the diversity and high level of training. All the proceeds go to the students.
