Computers, Privacy and Data Protection is een tweedaagse conferentie rond informatietechnologie, databescherming, privacy etc. De conferentie brengt academici, studenten, praktijk- en beleidsmensen en activisten samen. Het thema van dit jaar is An Element of Choice. Qua dataprotectie zijn vele opties mogelijk, aldus de organisatoren. De technologie wordt gedicteerd door ‘hogere machten’, maar kan wel degelijk gestuurd worden. Er moeten keuzes gemaakt worden.
