VIDEO: Mette Ingvartsen - The Red Pieces

In this talk Mette Ingvartsen will speak about her recent performance investigations. Starting from her current interest in pornography and the decline of privacy she will speculate about the relationship between sexuality, pleasure, performance and economy. The lecture reflects upon how borders between private and public space are dissolving and how this process is fuelled by an increasing demand for self-performance and self-exposure within media and communication driven economies.

• Mette Ingvartsen is a Danish choreographer and dancer. From 1999 she studied in Amsterdam and Brussels where she graduated from PARTS in 2004. She has initiated several research projects and made numerous performances.
