The THING is back! This automated and hybrid form consists of four episodes, in between performance, workshop, and journey. The only ones present are you, a group of 8 to 12 people who open a suitcase and follow a wild mix of different triggers as a guide. Make a leap of faith!

In this video installation, Els Dietvorst allows the residents of a small Irish fishing village to speak. The pressure caused by European fishing quotas threatens the village’s survival. Dietvorst sets the deeply human individual stories against the backdrop of the wider European political and economic situation.

Five performers – with backgrounds ranging from the noise underground scene to pop – will imitate these sounds using only their voices. You won’t believe your ears.
