Read the Room is the kick-off of a biennial collaboration between Mophradat and Kaaitheater. For three days you are invited for a programme around 'the mother'. On the second day of the festival, you can see the work of Anouchka Oler Nussbaum, Alaa Abu Asad and Bekriah Mawasi, and Noor Abed.

bodies of knowledge (BOK) considers the city as a rich source of valuable knowledge. Every passer- by could teach you something from their own background and life-experiences. BOK seeks to share this invisibilized or suppressed knowledge through oral transmission, that potentially could give rise to a socially more just society. The Big BOK Multiplication tells the story of one and a half year of BOK in Brussels. It's the gathering of a learning community, and an encounter with a living corpus of non-dominant knowledge. B**** is as much an intimate moment as a performance, which paves the way for female victims of violence to an individual and collective consciousness. Starting from hip-hop and breakdance, and with martial arts influences such as Kung-fu and classical Khmer dance, Yipoon Chiem tells a story of the loss of the soul's sense of purpose, that makes you angry without having the strength to do anything.

In the same week where you can witness Michiel Vandevelde’s Goldberg Variations and Dances of Death at Kaaitheater, he looks back at nine years of performance making and choreographing by directing a video as an exhibition. Shot in single takes with a drone, you roam through the empty building of PACT Zollverein. Each room holds its own ‘ghosts of the past’ on which the next room builds further. You encounter dancers, dances, sounds, and texts. Traveling through fragments of Michiel’s performances the underlying threads and questions of his work are unraveled.
