WORKING TITLE FESTIVAL — This duet is an insight into the never-ending process of being together. Dan Mussett and Laurent Delom try to achieve a unity which is beyond both of them individually. It is an invitation to witness their journey as they become each other’s teacher, shadow, student, friend, mirror, brother, rival and colleague all at once and at the same time blurring the boundaries that separate the one from the other.

body as oracle, a trance, a rhythmic interface, an atmosphere, a landscape with the texture of my current mental state. a dance informed by everything and everyone i have ever encountered, seen, heard, felt, been beside that has become part of me, as i try to identify my own voice. and then see if i can stand it. nothing ever really goes away.

Sorrow Swag is the first part – in blue – of Ligia Lewis’ triptych that deals with race and representation. She meticulously creates a hybrid body that is in constant flux. Towards the end, the body transforms into nothing more than a mouth and an unrelenting scream. Earlier this year, Lewis made a big impression at WoWmen!18 with minor matter, the second, red instalment of this series.

For their first joint creation, dancer Femke and drummer Lander Gyselinck (STUFF.) decided to swap roles. Lander dances (musically), Femke plays music (dansant), until both become blurred and blend together. Their older brother Wannes, a dramaturg, keeps an eye on the whole work. It’s a family affair...

Choreographer Cindy Van Acker starts her new solo with sentences and images she derives from Friedrich Nietzsche. Another source of inspiration is the tortured bodies and anatomical figures in the work of Berlinde De Bruyckere. And the first definition of the word chaos: a new emptiness, a new nothing.

Two dancers appear on stage. They make noises, touch one another, move, explore each other’s bodies and so, in a ping-pong game of question and answer, invent a language – language as a ‘by-product’ of any artistic or love relationship. - Both shows have been cancelled due to injury.

BAUER HOUR is back! Season Two of Eleanor Bauer's variety show promises more talk, way more walk, and maybe some different furtniture... The musical accompaniment is still provided by Professor Carlos van der Keys. BAUER HOUR remains quality time that lasts just one hour.

Workspacebrussels supports a wide range of artists in the development of their work or in research. Working Title Platform #08 presents a sample of the many projects that have been developed in recent months, and creates an unparalleled meeting place where artists, arts professionals and the public can enter into dialogue with each other.

Following a series of duets and a quartet, the dancer and theatre-maker Pieter Ampe is going solo. During a stay in New York he immersed himself in a world of transformations in which emancipation, and sexual and emotional energy go hand in hand. Although he may well seduce the audience with grand gestures, a gentle swaying of the hips also suggests regained sensuality.
