Working Title Platform #6 - A new constitution for democratic systems - that is the remarkable starting point of ‘Some use for your broken clay pots’, a tripartite project by Christophe Meierhans. A theatrical performance, a book and a film will be based on a legal text that prescribes all the institutions, organs, laws and procedures necessary for the establishment of a realistic and functional democratic regime.

Working Title Platform #6 - 75 Watt is an inter disciplinary project between visual art/design and dance, focussing on the human body on the assembly line. The project seeks to explore the nature of mass-manufacturing products on various scales; from the geo- political context of hyper-fragmented labour to the bio-political condition of the human body on the assembly line.

Combining words, music and movement, this melancholic and turbulent solo by the young Croatian dancer, choreographer and video director Matija Ferlin, cultivates the ambiguity of signs and plays on the oppositions between body and mind, the individual and history. Between the ghosts of the past and promises of the future, a young artist is seeking to be today. A revelation!

In the early seventies, a research project was set up at Columbia University in New York to determine whether apes are capable of any human form of communication. The film shows the sometimes comical, but above all astonishing story of this attempt to make a man out of an ape. After the film, there will be a talk with Stijn Bruers on animal rights, etc.

While you get a bite to eat, you can listen to a talk with Tristero about their work and what inspires them. Over the last few years the Tristero collective from Brussels has built up a fine repertoire. They have performed biting comedies and powerful and well-made plays, highly individual adaptations of prose, and also atmospheric movement theatre, as well as mixtures of all these ingredients.

The writer and dramatist Peter Verhelst created a monologue for and with Oscar Van Rompay. Apart from his theatre work at NTGent, Van Rompay also has a personal commitment in Kenya.
