point where the approach is still fluid and dynamic, and the piece is
yet to be moulded into its definitive shape. In 2011, Jan Lauwers wrote
the play Marketplace 76, which will be read during Needlapb 19.

Our cities contain many unofficial leisure spaces. These bits of wasteland have become increasingly popular with social and cultural societies and action groups. They often work with local residents to create public parks, or allotments. In the morning, projects in the canal zone, Kuregem and Molenbeek will be visited by bike. In the afternoon, there will be a debate at the Kaaitheater.

Its authors are Marianne Van Kerkhoven (Kaaitheater) and Anoek Nuyens, who worked as dramaturge and student-dramaturge in END’s production team. The book will be presented in Brussels in the presence of its authors as well as the artist, who will be interviewed by Christophe Slagmuylder, director at the Kunstenfestivaldesarts.

The Ictus Ensemble bring this compelling score to life with breath-taking precision. Drumming is a stunning journey, a wave of pure dance and pure sound, a vortex of life energy.

The intention behind nothing’s for something is to make the
hidden moments in life visible and expose the reality behind the visible
world. Their sources of inspiration are Paul Klee, who danced while he
painted, Rainer Maria Rilke, the perfectionist of form and method, and
Georges Perec, the master of stories of everyday life. In nothing’s for something,
Avdal and Shinozaki go back to their roots and allow the experiences of
their site-specific projects to permeate this production for larger
theatres.
