Advertising, film, magazines, the internet: we are constantly surrounded by images of sexualized bodies that display the intimate and the erogenous. Flesh, fluids, skin, breasts and asses belong to our everyday surroundings. The Blue Piece is a museum version of Mette Ingvartsen’s to come (2005), performed by two dancers at KANAL – Centre Pompidou.

Ayur is a dance solo, and the first part in a trilogy focusing on the semantics and mythologies of the Imazighen, the indigenous people of North Africa. Radouan Mriziga created this solo for Sondos Belhassen, who has been his dance teacher while he was living in Tunis. Performed in KANAL, with the nocturnal city behind a sheet of glass, Ayur carves out space for a new paradigm of reflections regarding the past – to arrive at a more inclusive future.

Léa Drouet finds a spot in Kanal that she transforms into an area for play and experimentation for her six performers. Like a social laboratory, the piece tests the process involved in composing and disbanding groups. Infinite (re)arrangements of bodies and stage elements define new social rules like alternatives to the sole principles of inclusion and exclusion.
