Le Filet is an immersive audio-visual installation that allows us to dive into a mothers’ concerns, fears and anxiousness while awaiting a response from her arrested son. Fatima-Zohra Ait El Maâti depicts women – more precisely mothers – as the collateral damage of the state violence endured by their brothers, fathers, husbands and sons.

He is professor at New York University. His work is dedicated to the exploration of the link between socialism, modernism, contemporary art and media and technology.

This leads to a lack of trust and legitimacy, and unstable relationships between groups of women and their political institutions and politicians. In times of crisis, the informal social relationships of white men continue to have the upper hand.
