What appeals to our imaginations more and is yet as ineffable and as incomprehensible as love? Nobody knows exactly what it is and yet, to a great extent, it determines our lives. Following Marguerite Duras and Elfriede Jelinek, Maatschappij Discordia is consulting Susan Sontag (1933-2004) .Is ‘love’ only a figment that deludes us en masse? Does real love exist?

On stage: two adults and a child, unrehearsed, invited anew for every show. The child, on headphones, seems to be in charge. The adults copy the movements of children they see on screens around them. This puppet-like dance illustrates the stories, songs and dreams selected and whispered by the voices of yet more children as useful examples of vulnerability or surprise. Who are these kids?

Rabot 4-358 is a documentary performance about the social residential towers of Ghent’s Rabot district and the workshop that existed there for 26 months. This workshop started as a personal initiative of Simon Allemeersch and Wannes Degelin. The performance tells their workshop's story. How come these buildings once had a very good reputation? Who came up with their absurd form? And why are the towers actually being demolished? A story from the inside about housing, economy, poverty and personal fictions.

Looking for insights about love, Maatschappij Discordia decided to consult Elfriede Jelinek. While last season, Marguerite Duras accompanied them in a lifelong attempt to articulate the first experience of love, with Jelinek, Discordia has immediately encountered provocation. What is the image that this author – a virtuoso at unmasking clichés – sketches of love… and the female experience of love?

An expedition to the source of the Styx has taken Karen Røise Kielland and Katja Dreyer to the heart of Greek mythology. They breathe new life into an old myth through numerous encounters with local residents and their stories about the river. The performance begins with multiplicity and chaos, but the closer to the source, the more order and monochrome silence begin to surface.
