Twenty-two students from 14 countries are coming to the end of their four-year course at PARTS, the Brussels dance school headed by Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker. A group of eleven students has opted for its own artistic project. In the course of three months they have been working on 2 trios, 1 duet and 3 solos. 

The videos and writings of Els Dietvorst explore themes such as social conflict and survival in the margins. Art-Coeur-Merci is a film installation about a young Cameroonian man trying to survive in Brussels, with the addition of a performance by Angélique Wilkie. They make us reflect on the essential things in life.

Burning Ice - Flatbread Society is a public art project that brings together farmers, oven builders, astronomers, artists, soil scientists, bakers, anthropologists and others who share an interest in humankind’s long and complex relationship with grain.

A new double episode in a series of by now legendary dance and music duets by dancer and choreographer Jonathan Burrows and musician and composer Matteo Fargion: a glimpse into the creation of their work as well as a rant about structure, accompanied by live piano pieces and disintegrating cartoons.

WoWmen! - In Lifting Mountains with My Belly, or The Pregnancy Project, three heavily pregnant women talk about their experience of pregnancy. Three different views on what it’s like to have something in your belly, and what it’s like to be inside the belly of something bigger.

WoWmen! - The Catalan dancer and choreographer Pere Faura is fascinated by the mechanisms of sexual arousal; the connection between dance and eroticism is the basis of the twofold programme that he will be presenting during WoWmen. In Striptease, he compares the art of stripping with theatre.

WoWmen! - A social happening and a performance in one. Roses & Beans is about how we organise and experience love, and about the model of the couple as the ultimate formula for success and happiness. Andersson and Sahlin are borrowing extracts of life and art from couples like Marina & Ulay, John & Yoko and Brad & Angelina. And they invite you to a party.

What happens when people come together, how do we relate to and in a group? This is the fundamental question in two productions by the choreographer and performer Ivana Müller. You can watch them both on the same evening. In the production In common you are the observer and in We are still watching you are the participant. A written script guides you through unexpected scenes and situations.

The Extra Sensorial Garden is an invitation to enter a fictional garden. All the visitor’s  senses are stimulated, and together with his own imagination this produces a strong physical experience. There is not always much to see, but all the more to feel. Changes in light, colour, temperature and sound create a sensitive fabric in this artificial nature experiment. How do you experience nature, does it overwhelm you, does it make you feel at peace. Or do you think that nature no longer exists?

Evaporated landscapes was Ingvartsen’s first choreography for such materials as foam, fog, light and sound. Here the choreography takes the form of a relationship between ephemeral elements that float around and dissolve in space. Everything is bathed in an atmosphere of peace and tranquillity, fascination and impressions that we experience with a natural wonder.
