You see writhing bodies in a desolate landscape, hands and a head moving to the rhythm of an explosive drum solo, and a playful duet in which two women take control of the spectator's gaze. Meg Stuart creates an evening in which four dancers perform existing solos and duets, combined with fragments from full-length performances. All to live music. An excellent opportunity to journey through Stuart's oeuvre, which continues to grow, live and transform.

Imagine a tower of countless lamps and light sources. It comes to life buzzing, creaking and crackling to the rhythm of switching sounds. Named after the light designer Bruno Pocheron, BRUNO brings together series of dances oscillating between figuration and abstraction with three dancers trying on their movements as if they were clothes: every touch, every gesture, however fugitive, forever printed. 

How does one make darkness tangible? Which other realities, encounters and connections become possible in the dark? gone here (yet) to come is an investigation into the materiality of darkness and how it relates to space. Digging deeper and deeper into the theatrical space and time exposes lost memories. Let these specters guide you into the dark and discover other dimensions of the world as we know it.

In The Dancing Public, Mette Ingvartsen explores ecstatic movement at social gatherings in the aftermath of a pandemic. Her solo blows up the solitary confinement of 2020 with a mix of unstoppable movements, incessant music, words and chants in infernal tempos and rhythms. The Dancing Public is a dance party, a spoken word concert and an expression of physical madness to the point of exhaustion. What is this extreme need for movement that we feel in our bodies today? Are we ready to taste life to the full again?

NBH (Natural Born Healer) is a poetic solo performance, halfway between fiction and autobiography. Jihan Imago speaks of homelessness, of a long journey of healing, of a tragic destiny where the protagonist escapes death and sets out to meet himself. One walks there as in a dream inspired by David Lynch's cinema.

Inspired by insects, climate marches and airplane traffic coming to a halt, the leitmotif in this concert/performance is not the loud collective chant, but the experience that each individual – like a link in a chain – can set a vortex of sounds in motion. In newpolyphonies, four singers of HYOID join forces with 15 performers in a curious high mass about little differences with big impact.

At the beginning of this year, HOT BODIES - TV invited a number of woodworking and motor vehicle mechanics students from the Saint Joseph Institute in Etterbeek. Gérald Kurdian joined forces with the Kunstenfestivaldesarts for this project. The group is now presenting a utopian fanzine as a conclusion of the collaboration.

In small groups, you will be taken on a tour around the backstage area at Kaaitheater. You will stop at various places: it is time to perform a score! A score is a series of instructions resulting in a physical exercise. With the five exercises – devised by five artists – the children arm themselves for an unknown future. Be surprised while getting some exercise!
