The Extra People

theatre

Tue 26.01 - Tue 10.05.16

Guided by headphones and holding a flashlight to illuminate the darkness of a big, empty and dormant theatre, you're cast as an 'extra' in what appears to be a dream-like rehearsal of powerlessness.

Mon 15.02.16

Imminent climatological, political and ideological tipping points raise the question: are we literally ‘falling out of history’? Philosopher/activist Lieven De Cauter talks with philosopher Isabelle Stengers.

Fri 15.01 - Sat 16.01.16

Ivo Dimchev continues his quest for interaction with you, the audience. He invites you to post Facebook-comments, which a dramaturge turns into dialogues. Not only do you literally supply what the actors are saying, you equally shape their views and opinions. The end result remains impossible to predict!

7 Pleasures

dance

Fri 02.10 - Sat 03.10.15

A group of twelve performers explores the mystery of pleasure. In a long, sensual movement bodies touch, test, and lose their borders. They vibrate, entering into contact and composition with their environment, forming unexpected constellations. Mette Ingvartsen looks seven concepts of pleasure straight in the eye.

performance

Sat 19.11.05

The Italian group Kinkaleri is made up of six artists. Their work ranges from theatre and dance, performances, installations and video-films to radio plays, musical compositions, publications, etc. Kinkaleri will stage three productions which together form a trilogy: My love for you will never die, <Otto> and I Cenci/Spettacolo. The title I Cenci/Spettacolo refers to Les Cenci, Antonin Artaud’s last play.  Kinkaleri’s main interest is not Artaud’s life, or what he wrote for and about theatre, but ‘the utopian, existential and philosophical tension between a maker and his work’.

Sat 12.11.05

The Italian group Kinkaleri is made up of six artists. Their work ranges from theatre and dance, performances, installations and video-films to radio plays, musical compositions, publications, etc. Kinkaleri will stage three productions which together form a trilogy: My love for you will never die, <Otto> and I Cenci/Spettacolo. <Otto> can be regarded as a ‘vacuum’: a place to stay and wait. Viewer and viewed merge together, so that every form of display in the theatre is immediately questioned.

Thu 10.11.05

The Italian group Kinkaleri is made up of six artists. Their work ranges from theatre and dance, performances, installations and video-films to radio plays, musical compositions, publications, etc. Kinkaleri will stage three productions which together form a trilogy: My love for you will never die, <Otto> and I Cenci/Spettacolo. They describe My love for you will never die as being immersed in a Turkish bath. The spectator is given time to examine each object right down to the last detail. There is time for the eye and time for the objects. In the end it is as if the objects are looking back at you.
