WORKING TITLE FESTIVAL — Within a series of small compositions, bodies are placed and displaced in relation to each other. Playing with weight and balance, they counterbalance and shape the space between them. In the margin of the performance, Wouter Krokaert also shows the visual work that underlies it. What is explored in one area is reinforced and supplemented in another, across the boundaries of disciplines.

body as oracle, a trance, a rhythmic interface, an atmosphere, a landscape with the texture of my current mental state. a dance informed by everything and everyone i have ever encountered, seen, heard, felt, been beside that has become part of me, as i try to identify my own voice. and then see if i can stand it. nothing ever really goes away.

In this tribute to Ian White (1971-2013), Jimmy Robert investigates the worlds of disco and death. Expect a critical meditation on the legacy of the 1980s with a specific focus on AIDS, activism, gender and race. 

Three Seconds alludes to the average length of a dream: that intense, condensed moment of emotions and memories, of multiple faces and details. This performance is an invitation to journey through the intimate corridors of the performer’s mind, towards her dreams.

A café in Damascus. A young woman mingles begins to tell her story. She was arrested arbitrarily at the start of the Syrian Revolution and was kept prisoner by the regime for years. Ever since the moment of her release, she has been going around the cafés, restaurants and bars of the Syrian capital to break the silence about the inhuman conditions in prison and the disappearance of thousands of women.
