Working Title Platform #6 - A new constitution for democratic systems - that is the remarkable starting point of ‘Some use for your broken clay pots’, a tripartite project by Christophe Meierhans. A theatrical performance, a book and a film will be based on a legal text that prescribes all the institutions, organs, laws and procedures necessary for the establishment of a realistic and functional democratic regime.

Working Title Platform #6 - 75 Watt is an inter disciplinary project between visual art/design and dance, focussing on the human body on the assembly line. The project seeks to explore the nature of mass-manufacturing products on various scales; from the geo- political context of hyper-fragmented labour to the bio-political condition of the human body on the assembly line.

The 'H' in H, an incident refers to the life and work of the Russian writer Daniil Harms (or Charms). Harms was the author of a remarkable body of work. His humour and violence remind us of Monty Python. H, an incident is the first musical-theatre production by theatre-maker and visual artist Kris Verdonck.

Welcome to the Jungle is a performance installation inspired by ‘global weirding’, a term used to describe the effects of global warming. You make your way through a strange and desolate labyrinth of mirror foil and a sensory jungle that excites through its abundance of pseudo-natural stimuli. Like the performers, you are given a costume to wear. This adds to the confusion on the route. Who is the spectator?

PERFORMATIK2013 - Summer 2012. Berlinde de Bruyckere presents a selection of her sculptures and drawings in Istanbul. Vincent Dunoyer ‘lends’ his body for a performance that lasts two months. Now, the dancer has invited the artist to present an exhibition-performance in a theatre. A new meeting of ‘live’ art and ‘visual’ art, conceived for the Kaaistudio’s in rue Notre-Dame-du-Sommeil.

Like the audience they are in the dark as to what will happen. Step by step Zhana Ivanova gives the new extras precise instructions and so guides them through the performance.

PERFORMATIK2013 - Meggy Rustamova is creating a video and a performance for Performatik. The title refers to a ‘disrupted’ place, an ‘in-between space’ that you enter on your way to somewhere else. You appear to know where you are going, yet the new place is a mystery. (dis)Location examines fiction and reality and the transition between the two. The performance is based on spontaneity, chance, and what may or not be expected.

PERFORMATIK2013 - In this dance performance the Austrian choreographer and dancer Philipp Gehmacher starts out from his own, ‘stuttering’, movement idiom as a way of examining the strengths and weaknesses of language together with the performer Jack Hauser. The utopian notion of language as an instrument for social cohesion versus the autonomy of language in the practice of art. What does language do to us, and what do we share when we speak the same language?

PERFORMATIK2013 -
In Helvet Underground a monumental clock in typical Black Forest style takes centre stage. Two folklore figures occasionally appear out of the clock. Like puppets, they perform wooden dance steps in silence. The live installations by the French duo of Clédat & Petitpierre are recognisable, odd and humorous and appeal to a broad audience.

PERFORMATIK2013 - For Mountain, Orla Barry set to work with 57 words, an actor, a performer and a musician. Luck, chance and a bit of wizardry play equal parts in this work. The language objects on the stage not only make up the set, but also provide the foundations for the script. By playing with poetry, songs, monologues, speeches and suchlike, unexpected links between words, meaning and performance emerge.
