By shuffling and recomposing choruses of pop songs, the audience enters a field of personal memories and wild associations.

Working Title Platform #6 - Gabriel Schenker’s research aims at exploring the simultaneous possibilities of the body-mind for, on the one hand, producing and coordinating movement in different forms, degrees and intensities, and on the other, its ability for producing mind-images, thought, and language. What is the relation between the processes at work in motion, bodily coordinations/patterns, and the processes of imagining, associating, thinking?

Combining words, music and movement, this melancholic and turbulent solo by the young Croatian dancer, choreographer and video director Matija Ferlin, cultivates the ambiguity of signs and plays on the oppositions between body and mind, the individual and history. Between the ghosts of the past and promises of the future, a young artist is seeking to be today. A revelation!

PERFORMATIK2013 - In this dance performance the Austrian choreographer and dancer Philipp Gehmacher starts out from his own, ‘stuttering’, movement idiom as a way of examining the strengths and weaknesses of language together with the performer Jack Hauser. The utopian notion of language as an instrument for social cohesion versus the autonomy of language in the practice of art. What does language do to us, and what do we share when we speak the same language?

PERFORMATIK2013 -
In Helvet Underground a monumental clock in typical Black Forest style takes centre stage. Two folklore figures occasionally appear out of the clock. Like puppets, they perform wooden dance steps in silence. The live installations by the French duo of Clédat & Petitpierre are recognisable, odd and humorous and appeal to a broad audience.

PERFORMATIK2013 - Bernard Van Eeghem is a theatre-maker, artist and writer. In Sanglier / Bloedsomloopworst these activities are combined more than ever. Van Eeghem tells anecdotes from his youth in Bruges. He paints what he tells and tells what he paints. Ending up with himself and his earliest beginnings. French-speaking theatre critics nominated Au Sanglier des Flandres for the 2012 Prix de la Critique.
