In Cube, the final part of the triptych Kwadratur, BL!NDMAN interweaves sound, light and architecture. The listener follows an auditory route and is alternately the observer and the observed. The whole building reveals its secrets and every part of it is thoroughly redefined. Eric Sleichim is entering into collaboration with composer Hans Peter Kuhn.

The Nature Theater of Oklahoma is returning to the Kaaitheater with the second episode of their brilliant saga Life and Times. While Episode 1 began with birth and continued to age 8, Episode 2 takes the tale on to the age of 14, a time of full longing, losers, and smoking in the woods. The Rosas dancer Fumiyo Ikeda is also taking part in this new episode!

On the very day when, ten years ago, the great German writer W.G. Sebald died, Ictus and the French composer Jérôme Combier are paying him a tribute, based on his novel Austerlitz. Combier wrote a ‘soundtrack for an imaginary film’ and will design the setting with the French video film-maker and stage designer Pierre Nouvel. Johan Leysen will read from Sebald’s novel.

The stage is shared by 19 dancers and singers who explore the limits of their ability. Dancers sing and singers dance in dialogue with the wilful 14th-century scores of the Ars Subtilior. Ann Veronica Janssens will for the third time provide a stage setting in colour and light, a sculpture of passing time, of the constant transformation of what is around us and of what only becomes visible in the course of time. The start of a new day, or a new look at a distant past.
