Arnold Schönberg’s Verklärte Nacht (1899) is inspired by a poem by Richard Dehmel, about a woman who tells the man she loves she is pregnant by another man. In 1995 Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker created a group choreography based on Schönberg’s composition. She has now rewritten the piece as a duet.
