WoWmen!20 needs to end with a beautiful bang. To crown a week of gender bending performances, debates, workshops and films, throwing a tender dancing soirée seemed like the right course of action. Following Alexandra Bachzetsis' 'Escape Act', you are invited to escape into the music. Take responsibility for the energy you bring into the space!

Does gender have a voice? Using drag, vogueing, striptease, YouTube tutorials as well as the triadic ballet by Oskar Schlemmer, seven bodies and many more objects try out new constellations, like surrealist ready-mades. With a great sense of irony, Escape Act presents hyper-stereotyped gender identities, only to deconstruct them completely.

Coral-Lab is a Brussels research platform at the intersection of feminism and the performing arts, led by Azahara Ubera. For the last 6 months, a group of artists, activists and thinkers have been meeting once a month to find ways of choreographing themselves through movement and discursive practices, from a post-colonial, post-humanistic and trans-feminist perspective. During WoWmen!, they will share their findings with you. Expect collective thinking, contradictions and fresh feminist moves!

On August 3, 2018 Kim Snauwaert and Anyuta Wiazemsky Snauwaert were legally married in the City Hall of Ghent. One of the reasons was for obtaining a residence permit, but mostly with the intention of creating 'a sustainable community living.’ But what does that mean? In this performance the artists talk about their process and reveal their artistic premise.
