The Studio Sessions
Artists at work
Every year, workspacebrussels provides support for about 40 artists from Belgium and abroad by offering a residence, dramaturgical guidance, coproduction and opportunities to present their work. The workplace has no infrastructure of its own, but makes use of existing studio and performance spaces in Brussels, cooperating for this purpose with the Kaaitheater, Les Brigittines, Rosas, Ultima Vez and the Beursschouwburg. Its residence operation is distributed all over the city and thereby creates connections between artists who are just starting out and companies and theatres throughout Brussels.
In a new initiative called The Studio Sessions, workspacebrussels is opening up its residence operations to the public. For three days you can take a look into the studios where the artists are at work. Each will in their own way share their working process with their visitors, at Ultima Vez (12/6), at the Brigitinnes (13/6) or the Kaaistudios (14/6).
