Just like Meg Stuart, EUROPALIA INDONESIA gave theatre director Gisèle Vienne carte blanche to explore Indonesian culture. Along with musician and Sun 0))) founder Stephen O’Malley, photographer Estelle Hanania and choreographer Arco Renz, she immersed herself in the magical world of performative rituals full of masks and puppets. In this showcase, they translate their findings and experiences into an experimental evening on the Kaaitheater stage.
