Following Alles is rustig (1999) and ‘Redde wie zich redden kan’ geen slechte titel (‘Devil take the hindmost’ not a bad title) (2005), tg STAN is now creating the third part of its Bernhard trilogy. They’ve chosen Am Ziel. Matthias de Koning (Maatschappij Discordia) will set the table for Bernhard 3 as yet untitled, and Jolente De Keersmaeker, Sara De Roo and Damiaan De Schrijver will act it.
They view Thomas Bernhard as an executioner, a master of exaggeration and virtuoso of reversals. He bends and breaks language, splits hairs, sticks fingers in wounds, destroys sacred cows and spares neither God nor commandment, nor himself. He is the soul-searcher of the individual, of politics and in particular of art and culture.
This new performance will open in the Kaaistudios.
