Between staying grounded and getting high, together
We are closing our first nomadic season with the dance piece Zeppelin Bend, by Katerina Andreou. This piece puts together dances, actions and sounds that demand hardcore discipline and psychedelic imagination. Katerina says: "In a world where staying ‘’grounded’’ or getting “high” seem to be often considered as survival methods, we try out both."
After a year of traveling in and around Brussels, after a season hosted by more than 15 partners in Brussels, Kaaitheater recognizes itself in this deep desire to not choose between the one or the other but continuously explore both options: settle down and travel around, dive deeper and jump high. And because it talks to us, we are taking this challenging balance as a base-line for a joyful moment of celebration. Thanks to de Kriekelaar, we have found a place where to root our organisation, try out new formats and hold uplifting nights. We take the occasion to celebrate this moment together with them and with you, our audience.
An inflatable bouncy castle, an amazing tree-hut, ice cream, feel-good food, psychedelic music from the 70’s in the garden, a dance piece that takes you out and a hard core techno party after the show. Come for a full evening to celebrate the many ways to stay grounded and get high, together.
