Beverly and Laurence, a smart couple in a smart neighbourhood, organise a cocktail party for their neighbours. Acquaintance is easily made as the first glasses are drunk, but several rounds later it becomes increasingly difficult to keep things agreeable. An hilarious and caustic comedy by Mike Leigh, the director of such films as Naked and Secrets and Lies. An absolute cult classic in Great Britain. Tristero’s version was a hit at the Kaaitheater’s Comedy Festival (2004) and we are here reviving it for the third time.
