Permafrost is een geluidssculptuur op basis van het vriesproces van water. Het kristallisatieproces wordt de geluidsbron, de materie die uit haar voegen treedt wordt zicht- en tastbaar. Aernoudt Jacobs (Brussel) is geluidskunstenaar. Hij onderzoekt geluid in functie van materie en perceptie en toont zijn bevindingen in installaties en concerten.
