Rosas / Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker & Alain Franco
16-17-18-19/12/2009

Rerun! Together with the Rosas dancers, the choreographer Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker and pianist Alain Franco go in search of the unstable combination of music and dance, choreography and improvisation, romance and disillusion. In a broad historical gesture, Bach, Schönberg and Webern traverse the geometrical principles and improvisational wild cards of the Rosas choreography. In harmony and difference, in unison or counterpoint.

No hidden tricks, no trade secrets. In his latest production Alain Platel is returning to the basis of dance creation. Based on his belief in the power of the human body as an emotional tool, as a bearer of memory, as the raw material for living visual art. In Out of Context, this internationally acclaimed choreographer and dancer is after a gap of many years once again giving a world premiere in his home country.

Wittgenstein Incorporated is a re-construction of three lectures the Austrian philosopher Ludwig Wittgenstein gave in Cambridge before the Second World War for a select audience of colleagues and close friends. Wittgenstein paced up and down the room while philosophising out loud and in impromptu fashion – while allowing others to witness it. Rerun of the legendary Kaaitheater production made 20 years ago.
